Staging The New Pop/Rock Musical: The Vampire

We are looking for a producer or theatre company willing to seize the opportunity to produce a first-class staging of this new pop/ rock musical: The Vampire. This adaptation reimagines Boucicault’s 19th-century melodrama The Vampire: A Phantasm in Three Dramas as a new pop-rock musical.

This experimental project fuses Gothic spectacle with modern theatrical flair, delivering a powerful and visually dynamic experience that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The play was successfully performed in an industry showcase in New York City in May 2024.

Production Details

The musical’s narrative draws on Boucicault’s original manuscript, which predates Bram Stoker’s Dracula by over 40 years, and offers a unique historical and cultural perspective on vampire lore.  We’re looking for someone who sees the potential and wants to produce a first class production.

Strong Marketing Potential

• Proven Genre Appeal
The Gothic/vampire material has a global audience. Settings and costumes spanning three centuries—1660, 1760, and 1860—offer a rich canvas for theatrical invention, inviting thrilling visual contrasts sure to delight devoted vampire enthusiasts.

• Captive Audience
We have a large audience composed of Millennials and Gen Z people (fans of Six and Hadestown) and traditional theatregoers.

• Touring Potential
Using portable scenic designs and adaptable scale creates a viable and strong secondary market. Once a first-class production is staged, regional companies and university theatre programs will have a model to follow.

• Merchandise
Possible to sell t-shirts with the Vampire logo, castle key rings and action figures from three centuries.

Commercial Fitness

•  Ideal Theatre Size
We are aiming for mid-to-large house models that can accommodate 600 to 1,200 seats.   Size is not as important as the status of the venue.  New York Off-Broadway preferred with an eye towards Broadway.

•  Comparable Models
Our play is comparable to classic tales like Jekyll & Hyde, Hadestown, and Dracula, which have strong followings.  It is a much better play than previous vampire-related flops.

•  Old and New Fusion
The Vampire
features a unique fusion of Gothic tradition and contemporary musicality, making it ideal as a stage production. The opportunity to design three different centuries of style, coupled with the challenge of a haunted setting and creepy sounds, willl make this an unforgettable experience for the audience.

Production Opportunities

Our play is available for licensing and production, and we are actively seeking partners to bring this exciting new work to life in a first-class staging—whether in a regional theatre or a New York venue. Licensing arrangements will be determined based on the prospective venue and the creative team involved.

For talented director/choreographers, this play could be brought to the stage in an exciting production using our book, lyrics, and sheet music. Additionally, the setting and costumes should provide opportunities for producing various spectacular effects.

A London producer is considering the possibility of a staged reading of the play with the goal of a regional UK or West End version alongside opportunities for Off-Broadway and regional theatre productions.

Our Audience

The project should appeal to millennials, Gen Zers, and traditional theatregoers with an appetite for Gothic horror and immersive haunted houses. We are anticipating touring across the United States and the United Kingdom, although we expect to enjoy a wider global audience eventually.

AFK (Away from Keyboard).

AFK is a contemporary one-act play that bridges the worlds of online gaming and real-life connection. It follows two players—Alex (“NightHunter”) and Riley (“IronFist”)—who bond through months of virtual adventures before deciding to meet in person. When they finally do, Alex discovers that Riley, who had posed as a male gamer to avoid bias and harassment, is actually a woman. The revelation sparks an honest, heartfelt dialogue about identity, trust, and the culture of gaming. Set across the shifting realities of a digital battlefield and a cozy coffee shop, AFK explores how genuine friendship and understanding can transcend avatars and screens, revealing the humanity behind the headset.

Shake, a new musical (in progress)

Picture a retro, 1950s-inspired drive-up burger and milkshake stand—kind of like a classic Americana diner, but where the whole musical is set. It’s a place called “Shake Haven.” The story revolves around a young protagonist who works there—a teenager named Lily who’s saving up for something big, like college or a road trip adventure. Enter a rival burger stand opening up across the street, run by a charismatic but slightly shady owner who wants to put “Shake Haven” out of business. We’d have a mix of romantic and, of course, in classic Broadway musical style, there’d be some toe-tapping numbers where the staff and customers of the milkshake stand rally together. Maybe there’s a big showdown scene where they have a milkshake-making contest or a big dance-off in the parking lot under the neon lights. In the end, maybe Lily and her friends come up with a clever way to save the diner, win over the community, and even teach the rival a lesson in the value of good old-fashioned camaraderie. It’s got that cozy, feel-good vibe, a dash of romance, and a whole lot of musical fun.

We could start with a big, energetic opening number called something like “Welcome to Shake Haven,” where the whole ensemble introduces the diner and sets the scene with a rock ’n’ roll-meets-doo-wop vibe. Picture a fun, upbeat tune with lots of harmonies and maybe a little tap dancing on the counter. Then we could have a sweet ballad for Lily, something like “Dreams and Milkshakes,” where she sings about her hopes and what she’s saving up for. It’d be a heartfelt, melodic piece that gives a little emotional depth. Here are three Sora storyboard videos:

For the rivalry, you could have a jazzy, almost villainous number for the rival stand owner—maybe something like “Burger Wars Boogie,” where he’s scheming to steal customers and it’s got a kind of sneaky, swing feel to it.

And then maybe we wrap it all up with a big, triumphant finale called “All Shook Up Together” or something like that, where everyone in the community comes together, they save the diner, and there’s this huge feel-good, rock rock-and-roll finale that just brings the house down.
